Neighbor Teams
Welcoming refugees with love and support.
What is a Neighbor Team?
Neighbor Teams are groups of 5-10 volunteers from local churches and communities. We train, equip, and support these teams to warmly welcome and effectively resettle a refugee or refugee family into our community.
One of the greatest needs for a refugee is a new community, a friend.
Refugees resettled through our Neighbor Teams are immediately offered a sense of community and an extended hand of friendship.
Signing up to be a Neighbor will open up your eyes to another culture, a special friendship, and a life changing experience for all involved.
Neighbor Teams Help With:
Welcoming and picking up refugees at the airport
Setting up the family's apartment (furniture, utensils, blankets, etc.)
English language learning
Cultural orientation
Supporting access to medical, counseling, and social services
Helping children enroll in a local school
